See, I Told This Would Happen" is my eighth collection of short stories. Each is a stand alone story.
From "See, I Told You This Would Happen:"
Yevgenny42 had been manufactured in Irkutsk and I was assembled in the coastal town of Vladivostok but we had both arrived in the port of Los Angeles in the same shipping container. Many of my previous acquaintances from Vlad regarded any bot from an outback such as Irkutsk to be a backward hick, but the friendship we formed in that hot, airless box had remained strong over the ensuing years.
"What'll ya have, comrade?" I asked.
"WD I guess," Yevgenny42 said gloomily.
I set my locator to strobe and the waitbot came over to take our orders.
"A WD for my friend and I'll have another Roskolnikov."
